power tools
rvilchis asked:

I have just bought a 24 volt cordless drill for 83 usd and it seems to work great.

But I’d like to know why a drill with the same features in another brands like Milwaukee or Dewalt are far more expensive.

Chinese manufacture things in large numbers and so their cost of manufacture is less. So they can sell less. Chinese Government also gives lots of tax rebate for export. Hence you get cheap. But they compromise on quality and durablity.

the gears and other parts inside are made of much cheaper material and would not stand up to the heavy use that a contractor would put it through where as there American counter parts will don’t get Me wrong the china tool are fine for the home owner or light duty use just don’t expect it to hold up under heavy use
