cordless power tools
CobMan151 asked:

I am planning on buying my grandfather a set of cordless power tools for Christmas. He does alot of carpentry work and has very little patients so they’d have to be powerful & work well. I’ve narrowed my list down to 2 kits… The V28 Milwaukee set and the 36 volt DeWalt kit. I looked at the specs on both kits and the tools included and saw that the V28 Milwaukee’s have the same power as the 36 volt DeWalts. Um, why? Anyway, I think I’m going for the Milwaukee’s because I think they have a better reputation. I’d like to get a few suggestions so please give me one…. Thanx.

The “RYOBI” series that’s available at any home depot is pretty powerful. They take care of all the job i have to do around the house and come with a flashlight!

Check your local Home Depot and the price: just around 150$ and you get about 6 different tools, like a sawz-all, drill, circular saw, flashlight, and sander.

The Milwaukee warranty is far better.

Both are name brands but my preferance would be Dewalt. I am a real fan of Big Yellow. These are premium priced tools. Make sure you get Li-Po batteries and the Li-Po charger. Do not think you can substitute another charger or a fire could result. This website might give you some info

I would definitely go with the milwaukee. I own both and the milwaukee out performs the dewalt in every way.
